ネル（永眠）

我が家のペット
ドワーフハムスターのネル。

今朝、ゲージを覗くと
餌皿にあごをかけて
固くなっていた……。

この数ヶ月間、君は、確かに
死んでいく姿ではなく
最後まで生ききる姿を
僕らに見せてくれました。

約2年4ヶ月前、うちにやってきたとき
本当に良く寝ることから
君の名を「ネル」ってしたんだっけな
おやすみ。ネル。
